Hanoi introduces offline virtual cards for public bus passengers

Hanoi currently has a total of 153 bus routes, including 128 subsidised routes, nine non-subsidised ones, 12 connecting the city with neighbouring provinces, and three city tour routes. The public bus transportation network has seen significant improvements in service quality.

The Hanoi Traffic Management and Operation Center has implemented offline monthly e-cards (non-physical cards) for the public bus system in the capital, starting from September 20, 2024.

Passengers will need to update the “The Ve Giao Thong Ha Noi’ (Public Transport Tickets in Hanoi) application in order to use the e-ticket even without an internet connection.
