Each year, when the Central Highlands region enters winter, it is the time when golden shower trees (Cassia fistula) bloom in vibrant yellow throughout Gia Lai province.

The golden shower trees are extensively planted in the Bau Can tea hill area (Chu Prong district) and the Bien Ho tea hill area (Chu Pah district), making these districts popular tourist spots.

In recent years, the People's Committee of Chu Prong district has organised the Golden Shower Tree Festival to promote the distinctive cultural features and outstanding natural beauty of the local area.
