All sites of national COVID-19 vaccination program to be supervised online

All COVID-19 vaccination sites will be strictly supervised by an online control system, said Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long at a meeting on June 15.

Viet Nam is implementing the national COVID-19 vaccination campaign - the largest-ever campaign in the country's history, said Nguyen, adding that eight storage facilities meeting Good Storage Practices (GSP) standards will be installed, including one at the High Command in the capital city of Ha Noi and seven in seven military regions nationwide.

Around 15,000 vaccination sites have updated personals and accounts and made all public on the vaccination map, which will be announced to all the people about the vaccination process as well as numbers of vaccine doses and vaccinated people.

The Vietnamese Government set a goal to acquire 150 million COVID-19 vaccine doses this year to cover 70 percent of the country’s population.

So far, Viet Nam has received 2.9 million AstraZeneca vaccine doses, including nearly 2.5 million doses shipped via the COVAX Facility.

Meanwhile, the third and final phase of human trials of Made-in-Viet Nam Nano Covax vaccine, developed by Vietnamese Nanogen Pharmaceutical Biotechnology JSC, officially started on June 7.

According to the Ministry of Health, as many as 1,684,072 COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered as of late June 15, and 63,636 people got fully vaccinated.
