AgriS strengthens scientific research cooperation for agricultural development

As Vietnam undergoes a profound transformation toward green, high-tech, and sustainable agriculture, TTC AgriS (Thanh Thanh Cong – Bien Hoa Joint Stock Company, AgriS, HOSE: SBT) is actively participating in the Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) programs. This global initiative promotes public-private partnerships to accelerate digital transformation and sustainable growth in developing countries.

In parallel, AgriS continues to affirm its pioneering role in connecting key stakeholders shaping Vietnam’s agricultural strategy – the State, Academia, and Enterprises.

A series of recent MOUs signed by AgriS underscores a strong focus on R&D, including partnerships with Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City – a leading multidisciplinary research institution; Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry – a top agricultural training and research institution; and Nanyang Technological University (NTU – Singapore), where AgriS has become a member of the Singapore Agri-Food Innovation Lab (SAIL). These mark significant milestones in AgriS's journey to establish a global education, research, and innovation network.

Connecting the State – Academia – Enterprises: A Catalyst for Innovation

With a strategic focus on “putting people at the center of digital transformation in agriculture,” AgriS-led projects under the P4G framework and in collaboration with universities aim not only at technology transfer but also at training and capacity-building for young professionals, farmers, and students – the key workforce for the new era of agriculture. These actions also concretise the goals of Resolution 68/NQ-CP on digital transformation in agriculture and rural development through 2030.

AgriS sees educational institutions as the origin of knowledge and technology – entities that must be closely linked to enterprises to accelerate technology transfer, research commercialisation, and the development of globally competent human resources. Its strategic academic partnerships reflect a methodical and authentic ecosystem approach.

On May 24, 2025, Dr. Vu Hai Quan, President of Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City, and Ms. Dang Huynh Uc My, Chairlady of AgriS, exchanged cooperation documents in the presence of Comrade Tran Luu Quang – Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Commission for Policy and Strategy.

AgriS, with its sustainable circular value chain anchored on three technological pillars – AgTech, FoodTech, and FinTech – has outlined key areas of academic collaboration: data sharing and training in digital agricultural economics; co-creating science, technology, and ESG policies with government agencies; applying innovative farming models, traceability systems, and digitizing supply chains in Tay Ninh and Ben Tre – its two strategic farming zones; and launching "learning by doing" programs for students, to be implemented across AgriS’s three global hubs: the Agricultural R&D Center in Australia, the International Commercial R&D Center in Singapore, and its production hub in Vietnam.

Beyond partnerships with leading Vietnamese universities, AgriS is also building a global R&D system through collaborations with prestigious institutes and organisations. These programs focus on biotechnology research, plant-based foods and beverages development, and applications of advanced technologies such as protein fermentation, HPP, UHT, and the formulation of specialised nutrition for global markets. In parallel, efforts are underway to reduce carbon emissions and improve circular agricultural packaging. These are critical steps for AgriS in developing value-added products with clear traceability for international markets.

Tháng 3/2025, AgriS ký kết hợp tác với Đại học Công nghệ Nanyang (NTU) dưới sự chứng kiến của lãnh đạo cấp cao hai nước Việt Nam – Singapore, chính thức trở thành thành viên của Singapore Agri-Food Innovation Lab (SAIL).

In March 2025, AgriS signed a cooperation agreement with Nanyang Technological University (NTU), witnessed by high-level leaders from Vietnam and Singapore. AgriS officially joined the Singapore Agri-Food Innovation Lab (SAIL).

From Research to Practice: The Synergy of the “Three Pillars”

On the occasion of signing multiple university partnerships, AgriS’s Chairlady affirmed: “Policies and resolutions are guiding lights, but we cannot turn vision into reality without a substantive ecosystem involving the Three Pillars: the State providing orientation, Academia offering knowledge, and Enterprises transforming research into impact. AgriS is also integrating two more critical forces: Farmers and Banks – to build a holistic ecosystem for sustainable agriculture.”

AgriS is gradually solidifying its role as “the destination for agricultural innovation” in Vietnam through a growing network of cooperation in education, research, and innovation. This is a strategic direction for the company and a powerful testament to the convergence of science, technology, and entrepreneurial leadership in elevating Vietnamese agriculture on the global stage.

Tháng 5/2025, AgriS ký kết thỏa thuận hợp tác toàn diện cùng Đại học Nông Lâm TP. HCM trong nghiên cứu, đào tạo và phát triển nông nghiệp tuần hoàn.
In May 2025, AgriS signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Nong Lam University, Ho Chi Minh City (NLU), focusing on research, training, and the development of circular agriculture.

By expanding a comprehensive network of educational and research partnerships, AgriS is shaping itself as a hub of innovation in agriculture. This journey reflects the synergy of science, technology, and business acumen, driving Vietnam's agricultural sector toward a sustainable and globally competitive future.
