Vietnam and India host Policy Planning Dialogue 2025

From March 2-5, a delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs led by Dr. Le Dinh Tinh, Director General of the Policy Planning Department, co-chaired the 4th Policy Planning Dialogue with the Indian Ministry of External Affairs. The delegation also engaged in discussions with the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA), the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) and the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA) in New Delhi, India.

On this occasion, the delegation paid a courtesy call to Mr. Jaideep Mazumdar, Secretary East in the Indian Ministry of External Affairs.

At the policy consultation, two sides exchanged experiences of foreign policy planning, sharing priorities in implementing foreign policies of each party, discussing many strategic issues regionally and globally, as well as suggesting new orientations for bilateral cooperative relations.

The Indian side emphasized the practical meaning of policy consultation, highly appreciated achievements of Vietnam's socio-economic and foreign affairs over the past time.

Vietnam emphasized bilateral cooperation potential, especially in the fields of economic - trade, science and technology in line with Resolution 57 of the Politburo on breakthrough development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.

At the exchange with prestigious Indian research institutes, two sides have a deep discussion on movement of world and regional order, promoting ASEAN centrality in regional structure and the importance of enhancing connectivity and cooperation between research and advisors of the two countries.
