A Latvian man, aged 33, has been cleared of the COVID-19. He was sent to a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City’s Can Gio District on March 21, becoming the 54th COVID-19 patient in Vietnam.
The ministry also confirmed that a British man, aged 71, has also been cleared of the virus.
He was taken to the Hue Central Hospital in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue on March 8.
Both of them will continue to be medically monitored for the next 14 days.
As of Tuesday afternoon, the ministry also confirmed that one more British patient has been cleared of the virus, bringing total recovered patients to 58.
The man is the husband of a British woman who had been confirmed the 30th COVID-19 patient in Vietnam, said the ministry
He left the Hue Central Hospital in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue on Tuesday afternoon and was taken to a centralized quarantine facility in the locality’s Phu Vang District for further 14-day isolation.
He said he wishes to stay in Vietnam for the next couple of days to wait for his wife’s recovery before returning to the UK.
