The 18-year-old is studying at the Barratt-Due Institute of Music, Oslo. Born into a family with musical tradition, her parents professional violinists, Do Phuong Nhi began playing violin from the age of four under the guidance of Professor - People's Artist Ngo Van Thanh, and soon known as the "musical prodigy" of Vietnam.

At age 11, with gifted talent and hard practice, Nhi was able to perform the most difficult classical violin pieces in existence, such as the “Violin Concerto Op.64” by Felix Mendelssohn. The performance was implemented under the direction of conductor Tetsuji Honna, along with the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra at Ha Noi Opera House.

As an active solo artist, Phuong Nhi has participated in a lot of successful classical performances during the Toyota Concert Tour 2011 and 2013 along with the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra.

Additionally, she also gave solo performances with many other orchestras both in Vietnam and abroad, such as the Ha Noi Chamber Orchestra, the Forsvarets-Musikk Orchestra, the Romerike Symphony Orchestra, the TrondheimSoloist in Norway, and the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra in the United States.

In her upcoming performance at the French Culture Center, Phuong Nhi is expected to bring audiences a sophisticated, profound, and soulful solo violin night together with outstanding pianist Tran Thai Linh.

With masterpieces such as Siciliana and Presto in the Sonate No.1 by German composer Johann Sebastian Bach; Caprice No. 19 by the genius Italian composer Niccolò Paganini, Tambourin Chinois by the talented Austrian musician Fritz Kreisler, etc., Do Phuong Nhi will be able to show off her incredible technique and exceptional musical talent.
